Alexis Ford, LMHC

I’m Alexis S. Ford, a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and Florida native devoted to helping women strengthen their sense of self, navigate anxiety and life transitions, and build a more compassionate relationship with who they are becoming. My path began at Bethune‑Cookman University, where I earned my Bachelor of Science in Psychology, followed by a Master of Science in Professional Counseling from Grand Canyon University.

My seven years in the field have taken me through residential programs, outpatient care, child‑welfare systems, and juvenile justice settings; experiences that shaped my commitment to culturally responsive, trauma‑informed, and deeply human care. These environments taught me how complex a woman’s emotional world can be, and how essential it is to have a space where she feels seen, supported, and understood.

My clinical work centers on supporting women navigating anxiety, self‑esteem challenges, identity development, trauma, and major life transitions. I draw from evidence‑based, trauma‑informed approaches; primarily CBT, ACT, and emotion‑focused strategies, to help clients understand their patterns, regulate emotions, and reconnect with their values in a grounded, sustainable way.

At the heart of my practice is a belief in the healing power of love; self‑love, relational love, and the love that grows from reclaiming your voice and your worth. I offer a warm, affirming space where women can explore their stories, heal from what has shaped them, and step into a more grounded, confident, and aligned version of themselves.
